And in other news, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago is featured on Esquire PH’s November issue. Last month, it was Senator Johnny Enrile.
Oh, hello there Iza Calzado!
I have such a problem with this. I apologize in advance to juanrepublic for hijacking his post but man, must we always try to copycat from others? Can we not come up with something original AND great? It’s like we’re looking for some sort of validation in the mere fact that we can copy something so well.
I had high hopes for Esquire Philippines too. Sad to see that the first thing they do is throw in the creativity towel and say fuckit let’s just copy another cover. SMH.
And if you’re wondering why I’m so steamed about this, it’s not the first time. A few months back, Xander Angeles also mimicked a Lady Gaga/Jo Calderone shot for a mag cover.
Ain’t no shame in trying something original and sometimes missing. At least it’s your own thing. I’d respect that a lot more than just lazy, blatant copycatting. Bleh.
